No Child Hungry Gloucestershire
3.5 million Children live in poverty in the UK.
63% of those have working parents.
Infant mortality rates are 10% higher amongst the poorest under threes.
Malnutrition in the UK has grown by 19% in the last year alone.
16% of Gloucestershire's Children live in poverty.
£13bn is spent in the UK on diseases related to malnutrition.
Everyone should have an equal start.
We must break the cycle of deprivation.
WHAT IS THE PROJECT?
- It will be a coordinated mission involving local charities supporting young people and families. Feeding good food to those young people and families who need it.
- It will have the local hospitality industry involved using costed recipes and ideas available to help them produce good meals for those who may need them.
- It will involve volunteers as meal crews, supporting The Wiggly Worm staff in going out and feeding good food to those who need it.
Coordinated by The Wiggly Worm Charity it is our small contribution to help #endlocalfoodpoverty
#nochildhungrygloucestershire is helping to break the cycle of challenge and chaos with food.
