Star Bistro is one of the most pleasant places to enjoy morning coffee, lunches, afternoon tea and suppers anywhere in The Cotswolds.

Located on The Cotswold Way in the grounds of Ullenwood Manor it offers some of the finest products from the wonderful landscapes of Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds and South West of England.

All the food is prepared simply, tastefully and in season by The Wiggly Worm team with the great support of students from the National Star College.

Star Bistro has now been open a year. It's been an amazing journey for the team and students with fantastic reviews in Cotswold Life, Cotswold Style, BBC Radio Gloucestershire and Glos Media. The highlight of 2012 was hosting the Civic reception for Gloucestershire's Olympic and Paralympic athletes who did us all proud in London 2012.

We have become members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association and our local Cotswold Tourism organisation.

We are delighted to have won a Gold Tourism Award for our “Access to Tourism” and hope to be in most of the major food guides during 2013. Who knows, 2013 may even bring us further television coverage!

We are open Monday - Friday for morning coffee, lunches, afternoon teas and can be hired for functions and events.

We also open for guest dinners. Our first for 2013 being 1st Feb, for Ladies Only night - 2 Courses for £15 and a cookery demo.

Also, watch this space as we will be opening for breakfasts in Spring 2013!

A bistro, sometimes spelled bistrot, is, in its original Parisian incarnation, a small restaurant serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting. Bistros are defined mostly by the foods they serve. Home cooking with robust earthy dishes, and slow-cooked foods like cassoulet are typical.

Well at Star Bistro we do just that! Guest dishes may include Moroccan spiced lamb shank and couscous, duck confit with herb mash, wild mushroom on toasted brioche and, maybe, a lovelly locally inspired cassoulet or game pithivier. We cater for a maximum of 30 people at any one time and offer a simple local wine, beer and soft drinks list, as well as stunningly tasty teas and coffees, with our foods. Miss Tammy Holmes - with a great food service experience, from South Africa to the Westminster House of Commons, leads the front of house team and Head Chef Matt Black shares his experience from award winning St. Michaels in Painswick, with support and guest chef days from Rob Rees - The Cotswold Chef™.
